And 'I'm' having a great time listening to your CD ( "Mouth Box")
over and over. How DO you do that? Do you have a rubber or gutta
percha mouth? A lot of this stuff is impossible...right? I never
understood Celtic music much but it so much like the 'Sea Chanteys'
that I love, that I am really really having a ball. I'm hoping to
steal some of these licks but its like robbing Ft.
Knox.......highly improbable

Hello,
Had a fantastic time at SPAH this year! Some memorable things that
come to mind are...hearing the jazzmen(Brooks,Levy,Singer,...)
blow in the cozy hotel lounge, getting to know Stan Harper and
comparing tongue-switching techniques, playing a little country
blues with the great Warren Bee, grocery shopping with Ben
Nathanson and Jimmy Gordon, late night bluegrass jam with Warren
Bee, Cara Cooke, Rosco, and George Brooks, a killer acoustic harp
duet by Grant Dermody and Joe Filisko, Jellyroll blowing a solo
spiritual, the amazing interviewing skills of Jason Ricci at the
Blues Showcase(he blows a mean harp too!), rocking some Irish
reels in the lobby with Jason Ricci backing me on chord, having a
nice chat and dinner with Lorraine and Danny, singing harmonies
with Winslow, Allen, Allison, and Bobbie in the lobby, hearing
Brendan Powers blowing some swing jazz, .......so much more!
I can't wait to St. Louis!
cheers,
