Charlie also played on Dylan's previous album, Blonde on Blonde, and  
actually plays harp on one of those cuts.  
  There's also that story from Al Cooper, who was  there, of how Charlie 
played a trumpet riff in one of the Blonde on  Blonde cuts while playing 
simultaneously playing bass guitar (because Dylan  didn't want to have any overdubs).
