[Harp-L] Re: Get a career!
Michael,
No offense intended to you nor to anyone else. My statement was a
generalization,
which you will realize if you reread my post. I wasn't addressing YOU
personally or
specifically. I WAS suggesting that there might be a more innocent
explanation for
the young lady's remark - in other words, maybe she wasn't trying to
disrespect you,
maybe her short life's experience had only been that "musician" was not
a career.
Nowhere in my post did I infer or state that YOU did not respect your
fans, customers,
or audiences. It seemed obvious to me that you were upset by her lack
of knowledge of
what it takes to be a professional musician. I have nothing but
admiration for anyone
with the guts to stake out a professional life in one of the hardest
career fields that
I know of. I think I stated that previously (or at least, I tried to do
so).
Again, no offense to you or anyone else. It was simply an attempt to
provide an alternative
explanation for what seemed like a really rude and ignorant remark by
the inebriated
young lady. Or, it could have just been the booze...who knows?!?
All the best to YOU, Michael! I wish you every success in your career!
Crazy ('bout harp!) Bob
