Thank you for your responses. I believe my amp's natural distortion will  
ward it off from sounding like a HK> This business is kind of weird. I have  
talked with or emailed  techs who think they really think they  know it all. I had 
to have that DJL mod completely ripped out of my amp, $350  down the drain, 
plus another $150 rto have it put back,  my personal  experience, most of you 
know I do know tone and what I say is generally true  about an amp. We put it 
back to its original Cruncher, I don't know what they  heard, I still could not 
get amp past 2, no matter how much Mike and the DJL  guys said it got past 5. 
I think I know what I am doing. I believe their mod,  which I will not 
disclose, but it is not anything some of the main gurus have  not published before, 
will do just fine in PA heads and other type  uncontrollable amps, if you take 
one power tube out of the equation, you sure  will have distortion and less 
feedback. I wish them well but our experience was  not the best. Them telling 
me one thing, I am sitting there with the amp on 2  and it squealing and 
saying, Do you hear that, and with the lower preamps mind  you. So I am not 
discouraging guys to use them for PA's, amps is up to you. I  have been threatened by 
them, remember the first amendment guys, freedom of  speech. I am just giving 
my experience. 
I will be playing on Oct 26th at Black Eyed Sally's with my friend Rocky  
Lawrence, and Honeyboy Edwards, should be a fun night. All this gear talk, we  
forget about the playing stuff.
