Warren, Sounds like it is going to be a great venue. There are two venues in
Chicago are organized somewhat along the lines you are developing for 3MB. I
pass them along to all for whatever interest they may have:


The Old Town School of Folk Music is an excellent place that features music
from a wide spectrum of genres (I think Joe Filisko gives/gave harp lessons
there). Imagine an intimate space where you can hear true bluegrass one
night (played by living legends and astounding amateurs on the same
evening), and Nigerian Afrobeat the next night.

Hot House origianlly an experimental venue for all sorts of art & music, it
moved from the (then) funky Wicker PArk neighborhood to a location nearer
the lake and is now THE plkace to go for "world" music (such a misnomer).

Both of these places are true treasures.
