Re: [Harp-L] re: happy birthday

The brief history of harp-l does contain some errors so don't take it as gospel. Suffice it to say that without Chris Pierce none of this would exist. This being harp-l. Sure some other venue would have filled the niche but it would have been different. Harp-l is unique amongst internet lists. The culture of the list and the networking it has sponsored have changed the harmonica world as I knew it. Most of how harp-l is and how it is run is a direct extension of either Chris or Hugh. That a college student at Western Kentucky University thought to create an internet list for harmonicas pre world wide web, pre browsers is as amazing as the fact that harp-l has survived these 15 years. fjm
