The Blue Ringer is a shock mount rather than a mic itself. It isolates
the microphone from the stand, which might conduct vibrations that
influence the sound.
Blue does make a number of nice microphones, like the Kiwi, the
Bluebird and the Baby Bottle. They also make a nice tube pre-amp.
