I realize what I wrote was not that I meant.
What I meant to say was that Blue Mitchell was an accomplished Jazz Musician starting from his stay  with Hoarce Silver'

He had a musical vocabulary that May was becoming acclimated to. I was not questioning Mayalls ability or dedication. 

I have a full collection of Mayall vinyl starting from the mid 60s He is one of the reasons I picked up a harmonica in the first place (Paul Butterfiled is the other)
