This conversation about anger and blowing harp is interesting. Personally,
if I am upset in any way I definitely lose a lot of my creative edge. If I
can't get my mind to settle down I go into total "survival licks" mode. My
thrill in the "battle" is finding the zone where I stop thinking and just
emote through the harp. Using the entire breathing process from lips to
diaphram as the foundation of my ATTACK. I love that word because when I
play best it is when I truly attack my harps. I think that this thought
about anger creating a "premium" release of creativity is a bit short
sighted. My guess is that your attack becomes much more intense from the
tension. I believe that nothing can be more intense than aggressive attack
with a peaceful mind attached!
