i do the same thing in my gig case.  it's a computer laptop case which
contains a powerstrip with on/off switch that the other components plug
into.  outlets are often in short supply at jams or gigs, and this lets me
use just one, and have on/off to boot for both the digitech and wireless
receiver.

one of these days i'll post some pictures of the setup; it's pretty nice.
