Well, I got a gentle reminder offlist from an H-L pal that Tony was referring to "Diatonic" players exclusively. Um, yes, he was. Therefore, some of my name offerings were offbase.
Ok... revised top 3... Popper, Musselwhite, and again the split between Levy and Wilson. Oh, wait... what about John Lennon? Bob Dylan? Lee Oskar? Huey Lewis? Lots of recordings and influence there! ........... Oh, yeah... and Hicks! ;-))))
