Re: [Harp-L] Can I play minor songs on the major harps?

Yes. I forgot about 2nd pos. minor. Sometimes I am using this and feel
as if I'm in some other position altogether. It is the relative minor of
11th position, and I suspect putting in some work there, even without
the intention of using it (ie Bb on a C harp) might help 'orientate'
your ear to what you are doing. Same goes for playing in 12th, in terms
of 3rd, it's relative minor.

5th position is by far my favorite way to play minor on a major harp.
Explore and you will be all smiles. I think it lays out nicer than 3rd
and
leaves more room for "emotion". Just my opinion though. I fake in all
positions :-)
