What I do with my Pig is take my charger with me to a gig-this way if it 
goes red you just plug in and finish the gig. They don't recommend using the 
charger very long like that tho. I think its better for the battery if you 
let it go all the way down before recharging. I don't know what kind of 
batteries those are but it takes forever to run one down.
