Get out the harmonicas - fill up the car and check the sat nav - it is
here again - the NHL Spring Festival back at the Kings Heath Cricket
Club in Birmingham - Saturday 12 May 2007.
A full day of workshops, followed by an evening concert and jam
session. Presenting workshops this year we have Jim Hughes, world
class chromatic player; Ben Hewlett , one of the U.K.?s professional
harmonic tutors; Four In Accord, the UK's premier harmonica group;
Giles Hedley, a professional blues performer; Gerry Ezard, an
experienced chromatic player and performer; Keith Parker, a fine blues
player and performer, and an expert in amplification, and, last but
not least, the very talented Lee Sankey, one of the most exciting and
innovative harmonica players to enter the U.K music scene in recent
years.
Also joining us will be Laurie Garman, formerly of the legendary
Yardbirds; Philip Achille, World Youth Harmonica Champion Solo
Chromatic and Proms soloist; and Carole Axford , professional
chromatic player and music teacher. Ricky Cool and his band, together
with the talented and versatile Chris Collis on keyboards, will be on
hand to provide support for the workshops, concert , and jam session.
The trade stand will be provided courtesy of Steve and Joan Noon of
Eagle Music, displaying their extensive range of harmonicas and
harmonica related products.
