Hurricane axes :

How many harp playing madmen in this forum also play guitar on stage too ?

Of you who do , how many play :

Acoustic /electrics and nylon guitars on stage only

and

How many play only electrics on stage only .

I have only played my acoustic electric D46SCE steel string so far live and it's been a pure pleasure too .

Do you play a separate amp for your harp ?

I have used my tube Carvin for both but am considering a separate amp now a days .

I have a GNX4 DAW from Digitech , I plug my harp mic into a P.A. mixer ( with a keyboard sometimes ) and if needed other mics and that goes into the GNX4's line inputs .

The GNX4 allows me to use reverb and or FXs' on my mic(s) this way and sing through the single separate mic input of my GNX4 . With a mixer attached to the GNX4 things get wild letting me get more into the mix , like another harp player .

It makes for a super light weight and a small footprint on stage . I hook the GNX4 to 2 amps , one stereo 70 watter for a monitor mix if I'm on a big stage / room , and a 300 watter stereo amp for my P.A.s out put .

If I want too , I can run a line out from my GNX4 to my stereo 300 watt amp for a super loud harp or guitar sound if I'm only doing a side man thing .

If I can get away with it I use the house P.A. if it's a good one and just take the GNX4 and plug my guitar to it and everything else out to the P.A. via a small mixer plugged into my GNX4's line inputs ( stereo )

Both harp and guitar can be outputted though the GNX4's XLR's straight into the P.A. and I don't take anything but my guitars and harps & harp mic with a small little mixer to input the harp mic into the GNX4 and then straight into the house P.A.

It's a nice light weight set up these days I first look for ,then if that doesn't work I go whole hog :)

No stage use yet on my nylon .

Am about to start playing my Godin LGXSA electric guitar ( it's a Midi one too :) on stage live , current song project for that debut is :

Bruce Hornsby's " That's Just The Way It Is "

Wow What a Song !

Sincerely

Hurricane Ramon
