[Harp-L] death of live music

We have a pretty active music scene in the Hudson Valley. I know in NYC, one of hte biggest problems was the rents. Places like Folk City, The Bottom Line, Manny's Car Wash Mondo Blues all closed because of increasing rents not decreasing patronage. We are seeing a surge in Indie Labels, the Blues scene in Europe is pretty big. I dont know. I think the economy has a hand in it. Folks dont' seem to have the disposable income they had years ago.
