Re: [Harp-L] List of Standards

Dear Jon,

Sorry for the delay in response. It's a "cut and paste" of information but I think you'll find success herein. The primary concern was regarding chromatic harp though the "Harmonica Sessions" info. It cuts across both diatonic and chrom.

The Harmonica Master Class site http://www.harmonicamasterclass.com/artist_listing.htm shows the keys of harps, to include chromatic keys. Some of this stuff is superb...And what I don't know I don't have. You can hear pieces of tunes at http://www.amazon.com/

Here are some more locations of recommendations:

http://www.harmonicasessions.com/aug03/essential.html

http://www.harmonicasessions.com/oct03/essential.html

http://www.harmonicasessions.com/apr04/standards.html

Then the articles start going into chromatic: http://www.harmonicasessions.com/feb05/index.html

And this harmonica tab notation key:

I have some educational material both cd's and dvd's. Another resource is KNON 89.3 Mon-Fri 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. And cable channel 878 (depending upon your subscription service).

Chrom freebies:

http://www.angelfire.com/music/HarpOn/

    Choose your connection speed...Enjoy!

Adler Trio - http://www.adlertrio.com/ Select videos...

More audio clips: http://www.geocities.com/troupegaita/

And, http://www.harmonicamento.de/ Click on cd and then those tunes with a G clef sign.

Storm comin'...gotta run! (Every time I send this there's a storm!)

Be Blues,

Suave Blues Man

Subject: [Harp-L] List of Standards

Sorry to bring this up again but I, for the life of me, have been unable to do an archive search on the Harp-L archives. Can someone repost the list of standards that was a topic of discussion some time not too far back ("standards" as in songs that would typically be known by most musicians and or guitarists and done in jam sessions).
Much appreciated if anyone has this list stashed somewhere.
Thanks.
Jon
