[Harp-L] weird harp effect

so i'm sitting at the computer yesterday, waiting for somethng to finish.
there was a D harp on the desk, so i picked it up and starting futzing around.
and at some point i see, just for a moment, these wavy horizontal lines on
the screen. not sharp, distinct lines, but a series of evenly spaced (1/2" or
so apart) horizontal bands of fuzziness. hard to describe.

after a little experimenting, i find i can reliably repeat it. it happens every
time i play the 3 draw bend (i forget which one), and lasts for exactly the
duration of the note. i didn't try it with the same hole/bend on another harp,
or playing the same note on a different harp. nor did i try a different monitor.

but i'm curious whether this is a physical or perceptual event. that is, are the
sound waves at some particular frequency interacting with the electromagnetic
fields near the screen? or is that note making my skull/eyeballs vibrate in such
a way that i see an odd visual effect? or am i just nuts? not that this option
would necessarily rule out the other two...

insight, anyone?
