I say, Anything that gets your juices flowing... creates excitement and
enthusiasm, is a good thing. If new gear does it, go for it. If a new harp
with a different tuning does it for you, go for it. Whatever ignites your
passion is all good. She says she wants to try a mic and amp setup. I
wouldn't discourage her. Anything that makes you want to play more can't be
bad.
