Paul experimented with several different sound systems and Mic's. Whereas most people say he always used the Shure 545S Pistol Grip, I would be more inclined to say as time went on he began using the Shure PE-54 Pistol Grip, same exact replica of the unydynne series II, however it was a Hz only Mic.
However when it came to the recordings asked in the original Question, the inside liner notes specifically stated the Altec Mic and Fender Tweed amp were used. Which would seem more logical in a recording studio. Last point of interest is if you have his first album, look on the back cover and it clearly shows he was still using a straight wand mic.
