I guess it is just a convention problem. Brendan calls draw valves the ones which are activated while drawing a note, thus closing the slot of the blow reed, and not the valves on the slots of the draw reeds themselves. And vice-versa.

Hi Brendan,
in a post to Ken Hildebrand you speak of a "outside draw valve" respectively of an "inside blow valve".
My understanding is that the draw reeds are outside, i.e. the valves for the draw reeds can´t be outside too. Same goes for the blow reeds.
Could it be that you have changed the blows and draws at your CX 12s ::))
