[Harp-L] Volume/Tone pot problems
Hey Bob,
Regardin g the pots in the amp you mention below, have you tried cleaning
the pots on your own yet? I've rejuvenated many a noisy pot by using two
CAIG products that are readily available(Radio Shack vs music store), often
successful, and simple to use: 4 short blasts of the CAIG Deoxit spray
directly into the pot behind the chassis) where it is slotted, following
which you rapidly work the pot back and forth a dozen times or two,
followed by a SINGLE shot of the CAIG Deoxit lube spray to the same spot
and crackly/noisy pots quiet down and, if they're not too far gone,
actually work like they';re supposed to. When that fails,
time to replace them
