Like a lot of guys my age (45), as a younger player my favorite players were
Magic Dick, Lee Oskar...and Pat Ramsey.
Get a copy of Johnny Winter's album "White Hot & Blue". Ramsey plays on a
few of the tracks. On "Last Night" he hits one of the runs Jason talks
about. I remember hearing that run when the album came out (mid 70's if I
remember correctly) and dropping my jaw, as I had never heard anything that
fast before.
"Honest I do" and "Messin With a Kid" kick butt too.
