Only problem with that, Scooter, is that he'll then miss all the fun  
Seminars and things going on during the day, the Filisko teach-ins, the "meat"  of 
what SPAH is all about.  What takes place in the evening is, basically  only 
whatever show is scheduled for that evening, and yes there will be a charge  for 
it...only dues paying SPAH members who have paid for that evening's  
entertainment are allowed in (and have to wear their convention name  tags)..unless he 
then stays very late for the late-night Blues and or Jazz  Jams.
 
It's at the Sheraton, Brookfield, Mark.  You can pay per day from what  I 
understand...but you can get all the correct information you need...directly  
from either Paul Davies (Entertainment Director) or Herb Eck (Convention  
Director).  Their email addresses should be available at the _www.spah.org_ 
(http://www.spah.org)  site..or you can download the  registration package there.  A 
lot goes on during the day, and some  people do stop in for a single day, to get 
the flavor of what a SPAH is all  about, but of course it's a lot more fun to 
attend the whole thing, including  the evening shows and the Saturday night 
banquet and Headliner show.
 
The thing about a SPAH is that no one goes to sleep... there is nothing  
unusual about happening on groups of people playing in corners of the Lobby  until 
the wee, small hours of the morning.

www.spah.org  will answer most of your  questions. The actual schedule won't 
be available until the convention gets  closer, however,
I would suggest leaving yourself open to the whole thing. A  lot of it is in 
the evening so after work would be  fine.

Is there any info on the day  to day happening at the Spah convention?
I live about an hour and a half form  there. Was going to go on Wed. (my day
off).
Where is the location of the  convention?
Is there a fee for attending?
