Re: [Harp-L] Idol freaks
Ah, but they're there, on TV, doing it, and I'm not.
Remember, 90% of success is just showing up.
Mandatory Harp Content: A good friend of mine met a guy who was putting a
band together and was invited to play harp. The guy was (is) not really a
very good musician. Can't keep time, misses one bar in twelve etc. But he
gets gigs! At first, my harp playing friend was the only musician in the
band who had any recognizable proficiency on his instrument. But the guy is
out there doing it, getting gigs and playing regularly, and in time they
acquired a good guitarist (young kid who really has a spark!) and a decent
bassist. They have improved so much over the past year, I didn't recognize
the music.
There's alot to be said for getting out there and doing it!
PEACE
