Hey Ken,
I don't want to brag BUT come to
Hodi's in Ft. Collins (I don't know where you are in
Col.) Sun. Mar 25 and I'll do my version of "Little
Wing" .for you .I love playing the chrome over those
changes. My guitar playing on it doesn't enter the
same galaxy as Hendrix' bur I enjoy singing it bluesy
as well. I think the key to this and any other song
you improvise on is knowing the changes so cold you
don't have to think about it. Don't be afraid to have
a blast practicing the changes over and over till
you're really enjoying the music you're making.
Playing guitar really helps me think of and remember
chord changes. Check out how awesome Howard ,Tollak
and Toots are. They all play chordal instruments in
addition to harp. Stephane Grapelli, awesome
violinist, was also a very fine pianist. Food for
thought ?
