Jason is, for sure, an accomplished player.
 
However, point of controversy at the time....
 
This MARS contest was for NON-PROFESSIONAL players only. In other words, if you made part or all of your income from gigging as a musician, you were supposedly not allowed to compete, as this was considered an unfair advantage.
 
The winner of the contest won some gear and was given a "sit in" spot w/The Fabulous Thunderbirds.
 
The Professional Harmonica Players compete at the Hohner World Championships where the playing field is on a more equal level.
