Which reminds me,,
I've got a close friend by the name of Dave Javu. It's funny, but I think
I've seen him somewhere before.
I get so sick of my job. I go there every day. It's the same ol' thing.
Think I'll stay home today. Day-job-blue, I've got the deja-flu.
Here's an album title/store name/car color for ya,,
Deja-Blue
Anyone?
Robert Laughlin,,distinguished professor of etymological falderal.
P.S.,,my favorite harp is the B-flat, for the low, throaty ease of vibrato,
(just a tad easier than the A)
,,or the D, for its mid-range general usefulness (this is the one I always
carry)
,,or maybe the C, a harp with some of the tonal qualities of both the B-flat
and the D,,also generally useful
,,or the F or high G,, for their high "hi everybody" non-compromising, take
no prisoners attitude,,
or sometimes the E-flat or the E,,just to give my D's a break.
They all come in handy at the appropriate moment.
My least favorite are the ones I don't presently own yet,,the D-flat and the
F-sharp,,and the B,,cuz I don't have'm when I need'm. Why someone needs to
sing in A-flat, or C-sharp, or F-sharp,,I'll never know. Whoever invented
these keys,,well,,
Lately my A, A-flat, and low G have been spending time on the bench. No
particular reason why. I only crack out the A-flat on Stevie Wonder's
"Higher Ground".
Hmmm,,
No Particular Reason Why,,good name for a song,,
Makin' Bank,,good name for a book, or a song,,or a life
It's so hard to make bank when your life's in the tank, no particular reason
why,,you've got the deja-blues.
Etymologically astounding, always rebounding, I've got this harp-thing
again. I've got the deja-blues.
