Re: [Harp-L] Diminished Chromatic - available from manufacturers?

Hi Paul,

I have tried playing the dimi "diatonic". It's a nice layout and
certain things work very well on it. A person would really have to
live with it to make it work, I think, but it's do-able.

Ed Coogan is the guy I've heard some recordings of - he really could
play the thing. And Alfred has already been mentioned, of course.

You can play anything on one dimi diatonic, but you could also take
the approach of having three different keys available, such as A, Bb,
B, and choose to use whatever suited the music best.

There were also a bunch of discussions on this list before, which you
might be able to dig up.

As a matter of fact, I have several Seydels - diatonic Blues Sessions.

Just today I discovered Seydel lists a Blues Session in LF#
diminished. Before that discovery I had only considered
a 'long harp'. Any experience/opinions about a 'short'dimi?
