I have actually seen and played the ultimate harmonica that wasn't a filisko. Brad harrison was working with Suzuki to get this thing made.  It was amazing and had everything I think a modern harmonica should have....tooless and rivetless reed replacement system, screwless covers and read plates.  It also has a very nice feel and shape, something along the lines of a golden melody but different.  The reed plates had very tight tolerances that gave the harmonica incredible responsiveness out of the box.

Unfortunately Brad Harrison seems to have parachuted off the planet AGAIN...
