What do I need in an amp I am going to take into bars?  First and 
foremost I need it not to cost four thousand dollars.  Even if the 
street price for the Fender 57 is three grand, for that money you could 
buy a Sonny Jr. 410 or a Meteor and use the change to buy a small or 
medium size amp.  Or a handful of Gordon harmonicas.

The 57 appears to be a limited production item where Fender is seeking 
to enhance the value of the product by creating a situation of 
artificial scarcity.  When they're ready to produce a player's amp, as 
opposed to a collector's amp, I'll weigh in on what I think would make 
it a good one.
