[Harp-L] Re: Fender amp

Here's my thoughts for what that's worth. I'm with Garry on the Lo-z
Hi-z inputs. The switch I'd like to see is for going from harp sound to
guitar sound. Maybe even different output tubes for each. How expensive
would
that be Sonny? It's been my experience that there is no substitute for
tubes. I
remember when solid state amps started getting popular. I was in a great
band
then and making more money than I am now (at 13 or 14 years old when it
first got together, please shoot me now) we could afford what ever we
wanted
pretty much, the guitar players tried them and quickly went back to tubes.
Then
something new would come out and the guitar players would try them too and
then quickly go back to tubes.............it is still going on. What I'd
like to
see is a good tube amp with about 40 or 50 watts that costs under 500
bucks,
the choice of 1-12 or 2-10's and with built in tube tremolo, reverb, and a
controllable slap back delay 'cause I can't afford whatever I want now. I
took
a real hard whack to my health and coming back now, but it broke me. I know
the 500 buck thing aint happening but they asked what we wanted and that's
it
for me. If Fender would do this they would have to go to court about being
a
monopoly because nobody would buy anything else. OK let Fender do all of
this and charge 700 bucks for the amp, then those less fortunate ones such
as me
can wait for the Chinese version or maybe Samick in Korea. O yea it would
be
nice to have a wireless transmitter built in too. I say 700 bucks but I'm
willing to compromise. Make that amp and make it reasonably priced and I'll
- Ignored:
sell pop bottles till I get the money. Man, as soon as I said pop bottles I
was
transported back in time to a recording studio where I put harp in a song
called Pop Bottle Bill. I wish that wouldn't happen like that 'cause it is
sooo
disconcerting. LOL
Peace Love and matched tubes
