[Harp-L] waxing a wooden comb

i bought a used crockpot at goodwill for a few dollars....it is a perfect
waxing pot.

i put the wax blocks in it, turn it on high for an hour or so and then on
low. when the wax is all melted and liquid, carefully drop in the wooden
comb, don't splash the hot wax on yourself!

after soaking in the hot wax for a few minutes, remove with long nose
pliers or long tweezers.

let cool and scrape off excess wax. reassemble.

i then turn off the crockpot let it cool, put a cover on it with the wax
still in it. it's now ready for another waxing job in the future.

this is quick and easy and easily repeatable and relatively safe compared
with heating the wax on a stove.
