The folks who complain about harmonicas (or any instrument) being tuned in
only one or two keys approach music from the mindset of an accompanist.
I prefer to play "in the background" and enhance (try!) the musical lead.
For me, it is important to have a wide range of tunings.
If you are the "front man" in a band (quartet... Whatever) then you have the
ability to "call the key" and others must accompany you.
So, the Big Six in C is just fine for those folks who are "in charge." If it
shows signs of being a desirable for instrument for accompanists, the market
will dictate how much the range of tunings will (or won't) be expanded.
