RE: [Harp-L] band in a box
Make the time investment Tony Ayers suggests by watching the video tutorials
that come with BIAB. I use it all the time for backing tracks for my
Villages Harmonica Band, and for teaching chromatic harmonica to newbies and
ear players. It provides all the backing tracks for the band when we gig.
We are all chromatic, all the time with no bass or chord harmonica players.
Get a fake book, pick a song, type in the chords, select a STYLE (it's quite
easy to play a sample of style after style to find a winner). Start with
the basic 24 styles (labeled "zz......". If you don't have access to a fake
book for chords, use your local library or try the internet with Google or
Yahoo search engines.
If you are still jammed up, e-mail me off list with the name of a song or
two (or three) and I will send you an arrangement you can play, complete
with chords and melody.
