Hi Walter. There is a free program called Audacity for the PC. It's real basic and easy to use. You can use the built in PC mic if you want to but for better quality, you can get a mic to plug directly into the PC. Once you record, you can mix the tracks and export it to .mp3 format

Can anyone offer advice for a simple recording setup?
I'd like to record myself acoustically when i practice so I can play it
back. I'd also like to be able to upload what I record when it gets to the
point where I want to share for critique.
