[Harp-L] Inspiration

For me, inspiration comes from persona along with the music. Artists that inspire me have humility and don't act tough. I studied full contact martial arts for years with instructors who rate as Grandmasters now. I lacked the ability to want to hurt people in a ring for money and I was afraid of the people who liked hurting. I can get all the macho I want on a drive to buy a harmonica in the hustle- bustle roadway. I don't like getting it on a forum. Interesting how personality can come across on a monitor!  The best learn to be gentlemen (and gentlewomen) and God know's I am learning.
  My buddy is teaching me to play slide guitar so I am checking out Sonny Landreth who has depth in his playing.
  Ella Fitzgerald recording in the mid to late thirties with Chick Webb and Orchestra on Verve is a new experience for me. Playing and practicing with horns in a local band in NM is stretching me big time. "When I Get Low I Get High" has horn duets that are cool and to think my dear Dad was listening to this stuff when he met my Mom just amazes me. 
  Loved the review of Piazza, I am going to get one of his CD's tonight.
