Re: [Harp-L] Summertime help

Hi Ross

The 1847 has stainless steel reeds and stainless steel rivets....you can find all info on our website... www.1847.com

In short...the harp is a bit louder, produces(to my ears) more overtones...I love the cupped sound of a 1847 in my acoustic duo.
The comb is completely sealed, rounded corners, coverplate corners are "beard/moustache "friendly .. back of the covers is opened ... coverplates are extra thick..
and ...the reeds will last a very, very long time and stay in tune!
I've played 4 prototypes during 6 months , almost every day and so far only 2 reeds are just a little out of tune and yes, I played them loud and agressive!!
