When I use the Fireball with either my current RP or my Crate VC508, I
plug a hi-z to lo-z transformer into the end of my XLR cable, then plug
the 1/4" male end of the transformer into the amp or RP guitar input.
Another box isn't involved--it's all in the mic cable.
Did I happen to buy the last lo-z to hi-z XLR-to-1/4" adapter on the
planet? Doesn't anybody still make them? If not, I'm willing to sell
mine for a million dollars to the first person who's willing to pay.
The price may sound steep, but this little device solves a lot of
problems, folks.
