[Harp-L] in the goove

One way to find out if you can play in the groove on harmonica is to play solo to an audience (a few friends, a group, or at a club).

If you can get them clapping, nodding their head, tapping their feet, swaying or somehow showing an attachment to your music, (without ASKING them to do so), than you play with a strong sense of groove. You've connected with the audience on an emotional level.

The best is when, say at a bar, you notice a table of people talking, but their feet are tapping to the beat of the music, without them even being totally aware.

Like going to a P-Funk Concert and trying NOT to move is hard to do........thats groove.
