Re: [Harp-L] Foot operated octave-tuned reed bass

About ten years ago, I heard a busker on the river Walk, in Jacksonville, Fl. He played guitar, harp in a rack and had a box mounted on the back of his bicycle. It had foot pedals that he use to play bass. Quite a one-man band...and mobile.

Apparently there was once a foot-operated bellows double reed bass that
sounds a bit like the bass harmonica.

Belgian bandoneon builder Harry Geuns is making these instruments
again. Check out the page at his website, adn be sure to scroll down
for the sound samples.

You could acoustically play reed bass to your own harmonica playing . .
.
