[Harp-L] AUDIX Fireball - Price difference - What's the catch?

hi, 

i see price of the first model is higher than that of the second - with
volume control (perceived by many as supposedly better and improved). 

my question is, what is the catch? how come the improved model is
cheaper? consider buying the second one, but somehow can't help thinking
that the 1st one might be better for some reason. 

Why improved model is cheaper?  Any comments?
