Sorry to have a "me-too" post, but I just have to second
Rosco's opinion here. Rosco and Chris are definitely two
guys who can play overbends that fit seamlessly into the
music. I'd listened to Rosco's first CD dozens of times
before he pointed out to me where some overdraws were.
Even actively listening for them, I can't really tell.
Chris also gets great tone no matter what kind of notes he
is playing.
I'd also agree with Rosco that half step bends are
actually harder to nail down. The few times I have tried
to break down solos from some of the "overbend guys", I've
found that most of the "sour" notes were actually regular
bends rather than overbends.
As for Body and Soul, who'd want to play that anyway? It's
way too hard. :-)
