[Harp-L] Re: "Pop" harp

Wasn't John Popper's "Runaround" on the charts longer
then any other song in history? That was true a few
years ago and it probably ranks him pretty high on the
list.

He and Blues Traveler also sold several million copies
of the album "four". Even if it wasn't the highest
rated song with harmonica in the top 40, its staying
power blows quiet a few tunes away. Not to mention
having several videos on MTv when they still played
music videos. I vividly remember vids for
"Runaround", "Hook", and "The Mountains Win Again".

>From the late 80's and on, he's got some impressive
pop numbers. They also had appearances on Roseanne,
Saturday Night Live, David Letterman, VH1 Behind the
Music, and the MTv music awards. They haven't been as
popular in recent years, but Popper was LD Miller's
guest coach on "Americas Got Talent".

Winslow's harp tabs in the "four" tab book are also
the most technically advanced and thoroughly
represented tabs ever massed produced. You could find
it at any record store when it first came out.
