[Harp-L] how many harmonica players?

someone asked me a couple of days ago

"how many harmonica players there are in the whole world? and by country?"

of course it's a very difficult question to answer and we can't easily
infer just by the number of harmonicas sold, but do anyone have at
least an idea, an estimated value?
