Little Walter played chromatic a lot in 3rd position. Check out I'm Ready,
Muddy Waters Eb (chromatic slide in), Blue and Lonesome Dm, Crazy Mixed Up
World Dm, etc.

I am reading his biography..I highly recommend. Talks about different harps
he used..
