Quoting Isaac Newton:
"If I have seen a little further, it is by standing on the shoulders of
Giants."
I don't have Tony's book (I wish I did!), and I have never met him either.
However, the absolutely HARDEST thing is to be a pioneer in a particular
area. That others come along later and build something better((?); I've seen
some really poor instructional material on harmonica, as well as some really
GREAT stuff) on the foundation of that original idea is a common occurrence,
BUT it should NEVER diminish the admiration we hold for that original
contribution - and for that pioneer.
A teacher is measured by the success of his students, and by that measure,
Tony is obviously a GIANT. Let's honor him for that. Hip-Hip-Hoorah!
Respectfully,
Crazy ('bout harp!) Bob
