Re: [Harp-L] Tony Glover- My prospective
So, may we agree that Tony Glover at least opened the harmonica awareness door for many folk?
He may have merely been in the right place at the right time, but sometimes that accounts for a lot.

I didn't realize my quesiton about Tony Glover was going to cause such a fire
storm. Please let me give my prospective.
I remember my first exposure to the harp came from two player, John Mayall and
Pual Butterfield. Searching for technique I found Tony's book and at the time it
was the only book. IN his book I discovered Sonny Boy Williamson (I and II)
Little Walter and eventually Walter Horton (I can go on and on about Forest City
Joe and Jesse Fuller) I went to the Villiage (only place "hip" enough at the
time) and bought these artists, and they are still in my vinyl collection
scratches and all.
it was Tony Glover who put me
in the right direction.
