Douglas Tate was wise, talented, hard-working, and generous. He cared about music and the harmonica deeply. He earned the respect of every musician he met, mine included. The musicians he encountered in his life included a number of highly respected composers and performers, and they all knew Douglas was the real deal.
I'm glad I knew him. I miss him.
Regards, Richard Hunter
