[Harp-L] RUPERT / RON - rec'd the 3 Seydel harps

 Rupert, sorry for the delay in getting back to u. I rec'd the 3 Seydel harps u sent - one tweaked Blues fav, one stock Blues Fav., and one Blues Solist. My father took ill (the reason i had to come from FL to NJ), and subsequently passed away, so i've been a bit busier than usual.
 I very much like the Blues Favorite u customized for me. It's the best playing, and best OB'ing harp i own. For the first time, i've even come close to being able to OB hole 1, and OD hole 7. I've only had the opp. to play the harp on a couple of long car drives, but I'm pleased with it and look fwd to playing with a harp that I'm confident can do it all. Now i know that if i can't do it, it's me and not the harp. 
 The stock Blues Fav. is an interesting comparison. I think back to a rave review of a stock Blues Fav. on Harp-L and realize once again that ya just can't really trust anybody else's opinion. Same with music - I've bought CD's based on someone's great review, only to be disappointed. Not a bad harp, but compared to your custom version it comes in second.
 The wood combed Blues Soloist I rec'd is the third best harp of the 3, imo. When i have time I'll take it apart to try to make it play better, thanks to your Harp Repair CD. Now i'm spoiled re playability and i'll have to buy more custom harps from u, ha. I'm impressed that u were able to get it so good in the short amount of time u worked on it. Thanks so much for the good leadtime.
 I"m at my mother's house in NJ and don't have a DVD player to view your new Harp Repair and Customizing CD. Tho i don't play chromatic, i can only guess that the new material about repairing and customizing chromatics is as good as the diatonic material on the older version of your CD, which i have in CD-ROM. I'll letcha know what i think of the DVD eventually, when i get back to FL. U know what i think of the repair CD - it's great. As i always say, i only wish i had it 30 years ago. Thanks again.
